KINGSTON, Jamaica – The brilliance of champion jockey Dane Dawkins came to the fore, when he skillfully guided the Errol Burke trained Get A Pepsi to victory in the Caymanas, Saturday, July 8, 2023, ninth, a four-year-old and upwards non-winners of three at 7 ½ furlongs.
Dawkins kept Get A Pepsi at the back of the field and then gradually moved his mount though to claim the rail run in the straight. He then dug deep to thwart several challenges getting home by a head.
Get A Pepsi was winning his third race in succession.
