KINGSTON, Jamaica – The victory by Mojito in The Kingston (three-year-old colts and geldings) has propelled the three-year-old grey colt to the top of the earnings list in 2023.
Mojito from his two starts and two wins this season has earned $2,593,500. Having established as by far the leader of the current crop, Mojito is widely expected to significantly increase stakes earned.
Mojito, at this time, is $251, 200 ahead of a foreigner I am Fred. I Am Fred, like Mojito, has a 100 per cent record in 2023, having faced the starter three times.
Winner of The Portmore (three-year-old fillies), Thalita, occupies the third slot on the earnings list, with one win and a second-place finish from two starts.
Interestingly, in fourth place is a claimer Denbigh Life, who has accumulated $1,807,500, from nine starts and three victories.
Two other claimers are on the list at present, Stranger Danger, and Daddy Jones. It is noted that Daddy Jones has been entered to race in Overnight Allowance on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
