KINGSTON, Jamaica – Veteran and well-loved jockey, Ian “Dolly Baby” Spence produced what must have been one of his best rides ever, when he brought the Philip Feanny trained Cryptocurrency with a scorching stretch run to nip long-time leader Soul Cure in the glass just moments ago at Caymanas Park.
Racing at odds of 3-1 in a RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE II (3YOS FILLIES) run over 5 ½ furlongs, Spence kept Cryptocurrency behind the fast pace set by Soul Cure (Anthony Thomas).
When the horses turned into the straight, Spence was on the inside rails still a way behind Soul Cure by somehow Spence was able to get his mount going and Cryptocurrency responded to go by in the end.
Soul Cure finished second with Casual Drink third.
The winning time was 1:06.3. The winning margin was a short-head.
