KINGSTON, Jamaica – A exciting three-year-old contest is in the making for non-winners of two horses on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
This event is the second of nine on the day, with seven starters.
Below is The Quick Galloper’s assessment of this call.
1 – BURLAP is a bay colt (March 18) by Casual Trick out of Fedora trained by Richard Azan with Dane Dawkins. Did not fare well in the top two-year-old contest of last year. Morning observers are reporting that Burlap has been exceptional with some eye-catching spins. Much is expected from this bay colt, who will be watched closely.
2 – BULLETPROOFCOFFEE is a bay filly (USA February 16) by He Be Fire N Ice out of Plan A Surprise trained by Owen Sharpe with Jerome Innis aboard. Was way off on debut. Bulletproofcoffe has to wait. Note, Bulletproofcoffee races with the blinkers on.
3 – DUROCELL is a chestnut filly (April 17) by Soul Warrior out of Savanna’s Pride trained by Patrick Fong with Samantha Fletcher in the saddle. This has been doing well since entering the non-winners of two grade. A contender for the trifecta wager.
4 – BOOTYLICIOUS is a bay filly (February 4) by Key To Power out of Keep The Faith trained by Ian Parsard with Reyan Lewis aboard. Bootylicious was exceptional on her debut (Nov 5, 2022) and now races for the second occasion. She does so after being painstakingly prepared and is the one to beat.
5 – PLATINUM FORCE is a bay colt (March 30) by Guilt Trip out of Catherine’s Dream trained by Philip Feanny with Bebeto Harvey aboard. Seems to prefer going long with this 6-furlong sprint too much for him at this stage. Note, Platinum Force races with the visor on and with first-time Lasix.
6 - SISTER D is a dark bay filly (USA May 2) by Brethren out of Invidia trained by Gary Subratie with Javaniel Patterson holding the reins. Coming along, with time her friend right now.
7 - INSPIRE FORCE is a chestnut colt (April 23) by Union Jackson out of Exotic Design trained by Philip Feanny with Anthony Thomas aboard. A newcomer, who comes in with some revealing exercise spins. Clockers say that Inspire Force is a speedy sort, with winning a strong possibility.
