8-5 favourite Stormy Lady starts of Saturday card with facile win

KINGSTON, Jamaica – As expected, punters got off to agood start when Stormy Lady won the first race at Caymanas as the Saturday (July 6) 10-race programme just got underway.

Ridden by the in-form Shane Ellisn and trained by David Lee Sin, the 8-5 Stormy Lady stayed in second in the Maiden Special Weight for four-year-olds and up run over seven furlongs as Dash of Class went to the front.

Nearing the straight, Dash of Class (Kiaman McGregor) went wide and Ellis took Stormy Lady on the rails and pulled away to win by 11 lengths.

Break of Dawn (Jemar Jackson – 5/1) was second with Jamaican Storm (Daniel Stachell – 5/2) holding the third slot.
