KINGSTON, Jamaica - THE top-rated Restricted Overnight Allowance (non-winners of an Overnight Allowance lifetime) contest for three-year-olds and upwards going five-furlongs (1,000m) round is the main attraction on tomorrow’s (February 11, 2023) 10-race card at Caymanas Park.
Below is the analysis of the 10 runners entered.
- RING CHARMER: (5 b m by Where’s The Ring – Charming Beauty) – Finished in sixth position in her last three races at this level. Based on those recent runs Ring Charmer has no chance of winning this quick sprint.
- UNRULY BOSS: (5 ch h by Bern Identity – Force Factor) – Capable sort who was disappointing on last when finishing in 11th position by 13 lengths behind Perfect Brew over 6½ furlongs (1,300m) on January 21. Unruly Boss should go well over this reduced trip and run a much better race. Plus, the leading rider this season Tevin Foster now holds the reins.
- WILL THE CONQUERER: (5 gr g by American Dance – Palace Gold) – Not doing that badly in his races. Will The Conquerer is more than capable enough to go home earning in this one but cannot be too far off the pace.
- TAURUS BOY (USA): (5 b h by Speightster – MC Duffie) – Finished a good third by 3½ lengths behind Yellowstone and Nuclear Noon over 5½ furlongs (1,100m) on January 29. If Taurus Boy can reproduce that effort then he can surely contest for top honours come tomorrow. For this to happen, Taurus Boy will have to come from behind the leaders in this sprint.
- BIG BIG DADDY: (6 dkb h by Natural Selection – Just A Flutter) – Shows up every now and then with telling efforts. Big Big Daddy has the ability to figure here, but he is going to find the distance shorter than his requirements. Expect Big Big Daddy to be running on, with his chance of winning increased if the leading pack folds.
- CHARMIN BEAUTY: (5 ch m by Lion Tamer – Charmin’ Diaz) – Down the track in her two runs at this level. Little or no improvement is expected from Charmin Beauty as she continues to catch the pace of this grade.
- THE GOOD WITCH (USA): (6 b m by Tale of the Cat – Witch Craft) – Proving too costly to follow. The Good Witch was expected to win her first race on local soil already but the importee has failed to find the winners’ enclosure as yet. Based on her class and capability already displayed, The Good Witch has probably her best opportunity of getting off the mark.
- SUPER DUPER: (5 b m by Natural Selection – Patara) – Speedy mare who is going to love this galloping course. Super Duper finished down the track in 12th place behind Yellowstone on January 29. Given her fine speed, Super Duper is expected to blaze the early trial — and if she can hold on to the lead at the wire then she will surely win. She, however has the tendency of quitting early.
- RUM WITH ME: (6 b h by Casual Trick – Zacapa) – Is going to be left behind in this one.
- JOHNCROWJEFF: (5 b c by Natural Selection – Sweetyourock) – Has been struggling in recent times. Johncrowjeff is expected to play no part in the outcome of this race.
