KINGSTON, Jamaica – Seven three-year-olds are entered to race over seven furlongs in the second race on the Saturday offering of January 7, 2023.

The Quick Galloper does the analysis of the seven horses below for the scrutiny of readers on Quickgallop.com.

1 – HERE COME KEN is a bay colt (February 16) by Here Comes Ben out of Sparkling Michaela) trained by Winston Morris with Reyan Lewis aboard. Here Comes Ken is slowly finding his stride among his peers. He is learning, yet more time is needed. Note, Here Comes Ken races with the blinkers off, and the cheek pieces. 

2 – TRULY BEGOTTEN SON is a bay colt (March 16) by Bern Identity out of Sexy Moon trained by Patrick Smellie with Odeen Edwards aboard. Did well on debut (December 24, 2022), when finishing second behind Pigglie Wigglie. Has been coming on well and will hit the board. Note, Truly Begotten Son races with the blinkers off, and first-time Lasix.

3 - BUY GUY IN THESKY is a bay colt (March 12) by Natural Selection out of Granville Greta trained by Gary Subratie with Shane Ellis aboard. Highly thought of by his connections, Big Guy In TheSky races for the second occasion following a moderate debut 35 days ago. Big Guy In TheSky has been picking it up at exercise. Should be watched carefully when wagers are being made on the event. Note, Big Guy In Thesky races with the figure 8 on.

4 – MODERN MIRACLE is a chestnut colt (January 2) by Hedge Fund out of Sound of Miracle trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster aboard. A consistent campaigner in his three outings to date, Modern Miracle comes up against moderate rivals and has ever chance of winning.

5 – ROARING THUNDER is a grey colt ( April 16) by Speith out of Little Thunder trained by Gary Griffiths with Andre Powell. His not exited during his three runs or in the mornings. Note, Roaring Thunder races with the tongue tie on.

6 – BOASEY is a bay filly (May 17) by Casual Trick out of The Golden One trained by Jason DaCosta with Omar Walker aboard. Had a subdued beginning on December 10, 2022, finishing in fifth place behind winner Show Girl. Boasey needs more time.

7 – ROULETTE BOSS is a bay colt (January 13) by Hedge Fund out of My Heartbeat trained by Dennis Thwaites with Paul Francis aboard. After placing second in his first two efforts, Roulette Boss put in a clinker on December 31, 2022, earning fifth place, 9 ½ lengths behind Fred The Great. Roulette Boss is given another opportunity to get off the mark against less formidable rivals.
