KINGSTON, Jamaica – Eight three-year-olds are nominated to start in a non-winners of contest for locally bred horses and maiden foreigners. The distance is 7 ½ furlongs.
The Quick Galloper’s assessment is provided below. Please, note that this assessment is done based on the Overnight programme which is subject to change.
– FYFFES PEN LIZ is a grey filly (January 28) by Midnight Hawk out of Sexy Moon. Has been slowly coming to grips with the needs of this grouping. That experience continues on Saturday.
– GREAT WAYNE is a bay colt (March 30) by Casual Trick out of Classy Aviator. Returns from claims with no chance of winning. Note, Great Wayne races with the blinkers on.
– JOE is a chestnut colt (April 21) by Lady Process out of Lady Jameela. Still learning how to deal with this grouping.
– BABYLIKE is a dark bay filly (May 1) by Savoy Stomp out of Ladylike. Has been at this level for quite a while but always seems to underwhelm. Facing lesser opponents on Saturday, with the trip more to her liking.
– DON VINCENZO is a bay colt (May 27) by Savoy Stomp out of Exotic Selection. Enters non-winners of two for the first occasion since breaking his maiden 14 days ago. Has to earn his spurs first.
– ANCHORMAN is a bay colt (February 27) by Soul Warrior out of Bitter End. Anchorman has not acquitted himself well since entering non-winners of two. Needs more time.
– G T BOY is a dark bay gelding (June 21) by Here Comes Ben out of Rejected Slew. After starting competitively in non-winners of two, G T Boy went off the boil. Has been refreshed and the distance is right.
– SALUTE THE DEPUTY is a bay gelding (April 20) by Deputy Glitters out of No Pain No Gain. Still finding the way. Note, Salute The Deputy races with the cheek pieces on.
