KINGSTON, Jamaica – The eighth race of nine on Sunday, October 16, 2022, is a non-four for locally bred three-year-olds and a non-three for three and four-year-olds (non-three). The distance is five furlongs straight.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S analysis is provided below for readers.
– POWER is an imported in utero chestnut colt (February 16) by Bali Bali out of Swift Fox. Note, that Power races with the figure 8 on. The trainer of this filly has made the rare call of asking the leading rider to be in the saddle. This new scenario will probably not assist Power drawn at one in a field of 13 coming down the five straight.
– AWESOME RICH is a bay colt (April 30) by Northern Giant out of Awesome Camille. Working well, faces a daunting task against these.
– RUBYISTHEONE is a bay filly (April 28) by Natural Selection out of Come Dance With Me. Based on her third-place effort (September 25) behind Silent Mission and Tekapunt, Rubyistheone has captured the pace of this grouping, plus both her victories from five starts have been achieved over the straight course.
– JOSH is bay colt (April 12) by Casual Trick out of Jazzy Jet. Still coming to grips with this class.
– A GIFT FROM BEN is a chestnut filly (April 29) by Here Comes Ben out of Sage’s Gift Box. Stepping up two notches, needs more time.
– BUZZ CITY LIGHT is a bay gelding (April 7) by Buzz Nightmare out of Forced On Me. Loves the straight, yet even this will not aid his cause.
– GREAT TRICK is a chestnut gelding (March 20) by Casual Trick out of Great Faith. Will learn from racing against these.
– THALOS is chestnut gelding (March 2) by Lion Tamer out of Hija De Reina. Holds the distinction of winning three times from his five career starts, with two of those wins coming down the straight. Thalos is a talented race horse hampered by health issues along the way, yet he is of sufficient grit from the number nine barrier to make it win number four.
– LUKSOL is a US-bred bay filly (March 2) by Tapiture out of Stunning Taste. Led for a long while at six furlongs 21 days ago. Luksol has caught the attention in the mornings and is poised for another close run.
– LACRIMAE is a grey filly (March 10) by Savoy Stomp out of Pleasant Ending. Has an outstanding chance of getting by the winning post in front.
– KP CHOICE is a bay colt (March 10) by Nasheet out of Drop Them. Will learn.
– GOLDEN WATTLE is a chestnut filly (April 24) by Lion Tamer out of Golden Glory. Probably the best opportunity the champion two-year-old of last year has of winning her first race as a three-year-old. Golden Wattle cause is helped with the outside draw.
– BUGATTI is a bay colt (March 24) by Casual Trick out of Charmin Diaz. Cannot handle these.
