KINGSTON, Jamaica – Thirteen horses face the starter in a three-year-old non-two contest on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
The distance of this call is 5 ½ furlongs and is being run in honour of former Derby winner Titania.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S analysis is published below.
1 – RAMBLING ROSE is a bay filly (April 27) by Bern Identity out of Ruby Rose. This is a consistent filly, with every chance of making it win number two.
2 – AAVA JAELYN is a chestnut filly (March 20) by Tapilu out of Boogy Woogy Princess. Since her upset win, Aava Jaelyn has done nothing to demonstrate that she can win again. Note, that Aava Jaelyn races with the blinkers off.
3 – THIRTYONEKISSES is a bay filly (April 11) by Savoy Stomp out of Shahar. Has been knocking at the door with some spirited efforts. Thirtyonekisses fourth behind Silent Mission in a bang-up finish on September 20, was a clear indication that she is fit and ready for battle. The distance of this contest will not be an issue.
4 – WOWTASTIC is a bay filly (February 20) by Perfect Curlin out of Sarah Barracuda. Not far behind Silent Mission on September 20 (6 furlongs). Then she was on the front end until losing ground in the final furlong. The shorter distance on Saturday will aid Wowtastic’s winning cause.
5 – BERLINO’S CHOICE is a chestnut filly (February 22) by Berlino Di Tiger out of Mete-Orite. Can be left out of the reckoning.
6 – ALEXA’S SECRET is a chestnut filly by Sensational Slam out of Alexa’s Song. Ran a blinder in her second attempt at non-winners of two, when pipped on the line by a rampant Silent Mission 25 days ago at six furlongs. This filly has been on the board in all her four starts, thereby making win number two imminent.
7 – FLY MESSENGER FLY is a chestnut filly (April 27) by Northern Giant out of Preach Preacher. With 24 runs under her belt, Fly Messenger Fly is a seasoned veteran among these, and with signs that she is returning to form, a winning effort is not beyond her. Note, that Fly Messenger races with the figure eight on.
8 – RUPUNZEL is a bay filly (April 9) by Savoy Stomp out of Miss Pasion. Cannot manage these yet.
9 – RUNWAY ICON is a roan filly (March 6) by Deputy Glitters out Runaway Silver. Even the presence of the leading rider will not help Runway Icon.
10 – BABYLIKE is a dark bay filly (May 1) by Savoy Stomp out of Ladylike. This filly has flattered to deceive on too many occasions. The trend continues Saturday.
11 – FEARLESS FIRE is a chestnut filly (April 15) by Fearless Vision out of Morebulletstofire. This is Fearless Fire’s first attempt in non-winners of two, coming off a break of 63 days. Will learn.
12 – MARKET PLACE is a bay filly (February 25) by Market Rally out of Miss Emily. Market Place has been showing up regularly in her races, having won on debut (June 30). Since then, Market Place has raced and earned her spurs at this level. Do not disregard Market Place from all available wagers.
13 – TRADITIONAL LADY is a bay filly (April 19) by Traditional out of Always In The Mood. Technically Traditional Lady is a non-two racing in non-winners of two. She was disqualified on September 24 after passing the post in front. Traditional Lady is now against tougher opposition and will have to wait.
