KINGSTON, Jamaica – Thirteen horses are entered in a three-year-old maiden call, the fifth race on the Saturday program of August 27 at Caymanas Park. The distance of this contest is 6 ½ furlongs (1,300 metres).
– MILLINIUM STAR is a bay filly (February 18) by Storm Craft out of Running Star trained by Johnny Wilmot with Paul Francis aboard. This filly has raced once finishing sixth, 12 lengths behind the winner. Needs more time.
– SHE’S MY FRIEND is a bay filly (May 10) by Natural Selection out of My Friend Lucy trained by Jason DaCosta with Anthony Thomas aboard. Raced just six days ago finishing second behind Shrewsbury Norm at 5 1/.2 furlongs. The extended trip of one furlong of this contest is not a hindrance for She’s My Friend. However, the filly has gone up in the handicaps by 9 lb, but there is a significant shift of riders with Anthony Thomas replacing Abigail Able.
– ANCHORMAN is a bay colt (February 27) by Soul Warrior out of Bitter End trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Did well to finish third (7 days) behind Howilookin and Secret Emperor at a mile. Then Anchorman lost ground in the final part of that race making the 6 ½ furlongs of Saturday’s contest right up his street.
- WHISPER TO ME is a roan colt (May 5) by War Marshall out of Jai Ho trained by Dave Girod with Ramon Nepare aboard. Still learning his craft.
– TRADITIONAL LADY is a bay filly (April 19) by Traditional out of Always In The Mood trained by Patrick Lynch with Aaron Chatrie in the saddle. Was beaten 1 1/2 lengths, 6 days ago in third place behind She’s My Friend at 5 ½ furlongs. Traditional Lady will enjoy the extra furlong and is better off in the handicaps when compared with She’s My Friend.
– SOLID TRUTH is a chestnut colt (May 21) by Danza out of Truly Trudy, who is racing for the first occasion. Solid Truth is trained by Gary Crawford with Calvin Bailey in the saddle. Nothing at exercise to recommend this first timer.
– ADENOSINE is a chestnut colt (May 31) by Lion Tamer out of Winesha trained by Ian Parsard with Dane Dawkins aboard. The major significance regarding Adenosine is the change of jockeys from Ricardo Duhaney to Dane Dawkins. Note, Adenosine races with the tongue tie on.
– DON VINCENZO is a bay colt (May 27) by Savoy Stomp out of Exotic Selection trained by Spencer Chung with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Don Vincenzo has two outings under his girth with nothing of worth emerging. Not much is expected from Don Vincenzo on Saturday. Note, Don Vincenzo races with the visor on.
– MICKEY C is a grey colt (April 11) by Savoy Stomp out of Miss Lee trained by Alford Brown with Oshane Nugent aboard. Needs time. Note, Mickey C races with the blinkers on and the tongue tie off.
– MELMICH is a chestnut filly (February 13) by Sparrow Hawk out of Miss Polly trained by Lorenzo Robinson with Omar Walker aboard. This well-seasoned filly's best hope is a place on the board.
– LADY JOYCE is a roan filly (February 14) by Midnight Hawk out of Winningitis trained by Johnny Wilmot with Roger Hewitt aboard. Does not inspire any confidence after seven starts. Note, Lady Joyce races with the visor on.
– FYFFES PEN LIZ is a grey filly (January 28) by Midnight Hawk out of Sexy Moon trained by Ryan Darby with Matthew Bennett aboard. The learning phase for this grey filly continues.
– WHISKY is a bay colt (April 29) by Savoy Stomp out of Raise Your Voice trained by Richard Azan with Bebeto Harvey aboard. Nothing at exercise to recommend this first timer.
