KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Aaron Chatrie made full use of his only ride on today’s (Saturday, August 13, 2022) ten-race card at Caymanas Park piloting Pure Heart to victory for trainer Dale Murphy.
The connections of Pure Heart had to wait out a long stewards’ inquiry before the All-Clear sign was posted, giving Pure Heart his seventh career win from 66 starts. That seventh win by Pure Heart was achieved in a five-year-old and upwards claimer ($180,000 - $150,000) going 5 ½ furlongs.
It was vintage Chatrie as he waited behind the leading pack, and then claimed the inside rails, as customary, and then he pushed Pure Heart through to nab Flying Bullet (Ruja Lahoe) on the line. Nasdaq Princess (Shavon Townsend) earned the third slot.
