KINGSTON, Jamaica – A further update on the provisionally starters in the Jamaica Derby (Saturday, August 6), shows twelve starters. Official nominations for the Derby will be accepted on Tuesday next, August 2, 2022.
In the fillies only Jamaica Oaks (Sunday, August 7) the entries remain the same. Official nominations for the Oaks will be accepted on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

For the life of me I can't understand why the authority don't make the derby a 10 furlong event big race like that and only 2 and a half horses have a chance just try the event for the next five years and see the outcome financial wise our horses weren't bred to go that far
