KINGSTON, JAMAICA – Utilising the light impost of 109 lb to full advantage, foreigner Jordon Reign’s, racing for the first occasion at the high level of Open Allowance | Graded Stakes disheveled five top ranking opponents in the Caymanas Saturday (July 16, 2022), seventh.
That event run over six furlongs was the day’s feature, the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame Stakes Trophy.
With Dick Cardenas in the saddle for trainer Ian Parsard, Jordon Reign’s was kept off the headlines, as Lure of Lucy (Anthony Thomas), and Eagle One set the splits.
Those positions were kept, as the horses entered the straight. As soon as they did, Cardenas brought Jordon Reign’s forward and the four-year-old gelding responded quickly to assume the lead, going to score by 2 ¾ lengths, in a final time of 1:12.3.
Lure of Lucy was second and Duke (Dane Dawkins) third.
Jordon Reign’s was winning for the fifth time from seven starts.
