As Quickgallop.com follows the three-year-olds
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Five first-timer runners have been nominated in the three-year-old maiden condition race (four furlongs) on Saturday, March 19, 2022. The five newbies are in a field of 11 runners.
THE QUICK GALLOPER previews this race by analysing the 11 starters in draw position.
1 – THALOS is a three-year-old chestnut colt by Lion Tamer – Hija De Reina racing for the first time. Thalos is said by those in attendance at exercise to be progressing yet not ready to win.
2 – FUNOMETER is a three-year-old dark bay colt by Traditional out of Opulent. Last raced on March 2, weakening when travelling six furlongs after being close to the lead. Tomorrow at four furlongs, Funometer chances are enhanced because of the trip.
3 – BUGATTI is a three-year-old bay colt by Casual Trick out of Charmin’ Diaz. Bugatti has raced on four occasions finishing second in his last two. This Anthony Nunes trainee is provided with the right opportunity and has the benefit of experience to make it win number one.
4 – KP CHOICE is a three-year-old bay colt by Nasheet out of Drop Them. Exercise reports are that KP Choice is of some ability and may well be a spoiler in this maiden event. Racing for the first time.
5 – EMPEROROFTHECATS is a three-year-old bay colt by Emperor Hall out of Laws of the Cat. This colt has been preparing for his debut run for some time and is seen by clockers as a progressive sort whose influence will be felt. Racing for the first time.
6 – AIRSTREAM is a three-year-old grey filly Midnight Hawk out of Phalaenopsis. This filly was nominated to race on January 16 but was declared as a late non-starter. Since then she has been a regular at exercise under steady preparation by her conditioner. Airstream is expected to be there when this is being decided. Racing for the first time.
7 – WITHOUT REMORSE is a three-year-old chestnut colt by Midnight Hawk out of Lady In Gold. In for the experience. Racing for the first time.
8 – LADY JOYCE is a three-year-old roan filly by Midnight Hawk out of Winningitis. Can be safely taken out of any consideration. Lady Joyce races with the blinkers on and the tongue tie off.
9 – PRECIOUS P is a three-year-old bay filly by Casual Trick out of Twinkling Rose. Precious P's learning curve continues tomorrow. Note Precious P races with the tongue tie off and the figure 8 on.
10 – BERLINO’S CHOICE is a three-year-old chestnut filly by Berlino’s Choice out of Mete-Orite. Not much going for this half-sister to Mahogany except for showing some early speed before tapering off. Berlino’s Choice now going only four furlongs can be a factor.
11- GREAT TRICK is a three-year-old bay colt by Casual Trick out of Great Faith. In for the experience. Racing for the first time.
