KINGSTON, Jamaica – Layu Kawen gave trainer Adin ‘Dreddie’ Williams his first win this season when he captured the day’s ninth race – a maiden condition event for three-year-olds just minutes ago run over nine furlongs and 25 yards.
Layu Kawen was taken off the pace by jockey Linton Steadman and then made his move at the top of the lane and won handsomely in the end by 2 ¾ lengths ahead of Envisaged (Robert Halledeen) with El Gringo earning the third slot with Javaniel Patterson on board.
Lady Kawen racing for the third time went off at odds of 4-5.
