As Silent Cat wins Caymanas Sunday 5th at 7-2
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Visiting Trinidadian jockey Prayven Badrie piloted his first winner in Jamaica aboard the Dennis Thwaites trained Silent Cat in the Caymanas Sunday fifth.
Silent Cat and Badrie tasted success in a five-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) event at a mile.
Badrie took little time after the gates opened to get Silent Cat close to leader Dorthebutcher (Matthew Bennett).
The visiting jockey then decided that enough was enough after two furlongs went by as he pushed Silent Cat to the front and thereafter was never challenged by rivals, winning by all of 6 ½ lengths.
The 1-2 favourite My Time Now (Robert Halledeen) was second with XY Soul third.
