KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Caymanas Sunday (February 6, 2022) started on a rocky note for many punters following the 11-1 victory by the Dane Dawkins ridden, Michael Marlowe trained Silver Fox.

Silver Fox was victorious in a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) event going 5 ½ furlongs.

For Dawkins, who seemingly can do no wrong in the saddle these days, it was his fifth winner from the last eleven races run at the Park.

The splits were set by True Bravado (Roger Hewitt), with the likes of Jahsendblessings (Dane Nelson) and Rocket Lily (Robert Halledeen) chasing. Silver Fox after two furlongs were completed occupied the fifth slot about eight to nine lengths behind True Bravado.

It was True Bravado who took the horses into the lane for the final two furlongs, but he began to shorten with a furlong to go and that was when Dawkins pounced on Silver Fox, who went by without any fuss to win by 1 ¼ lengths.

True Bravado was second and JJthestriker (Chalrick Budhai) third.
