Double for jockey Dane Dawkins
KINGSTON, Jamaica – In another dogged display Nomoredeals, who finished a close second behind Pip in his last outing, maintained his form, and came out triumphant in his fourth career start which came in the Caymanas Sunday fourth – a three-year-old Maiden Special Weight offering at 6 ½ furlongs.
With a field of 12 facing the starter, Dane Dawkins wasted no time in putting Nomoredeals close to the pacesetters. .
The chestnut colt by Soul Warrior out of Thornhill Miss trained by Gresford Smith maintained his galloped and when challenged by Sunset Silhoutte (Abigail Able) in the final two furlongs was resolute to the wire, winning by 1 ¼ lengths. First-timer runner El Cid (Robert Halledeen) ran on well to get third and should be watched in future engagements.
Nomoredeals was the second winner thus far for jockey Dane Dawkins.
