KINGSTON, Jamaica – Thenextbigting got mandatory payout day in the Reggae 6 rolling by winning the Caymanas Sunday (Jan 30) first at odds of 4-1. The hefty sum of $15 million was wagered in the Reggae 6 which now has a total jackpot of $19,406,705.67.
Thenextbigting ridden by Chalrick Budhai and trained by Gordon Lewis won her third race in a five-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming ($180,000 - $150,000) event going 6 furlongs.
The speed in this contest was Indi Arazi (Roger Hewitt) as Budhai brought Thenextbigting from the 12 draw to be close to the leader. That lasted for about three furlongs before Thenextbigting took over after which she simply made her way to the winning post without any problems.
Smooth Criminal (Hakeem Pottinger) finished second and Synchronize (Nicholas Hibbert) third.
