HORSES
There is one first-time starter on the day. Scooby, a three-year-old bay colt by Casual Trick – Royal Dutch races in the second event. Royal Dutch is also the dam of Voytek. Scooby races in a three-year-old maiden contest, against the likes of Justin Biden, Roraima, Giant Wheeler, Thirtyonekisses, and Another Brother.
THE QUICK GALLOPER has noticed that there are eight horses among the 98 nominated who enter the fray as winners of their last races.

JOCKEYS
The inform Robert Halledeen, and Tevin Foster along with four-time champion Dane Nelson lead the way with the total amount of riding engagements. The three have secured seven rides each. Dane Dawkins, currently enjoying a rich vein of form, and with Halledeen the leading jockeys this season has six rides, the same as Javaniel Patterson, while champion Anthony Thomas will mount up five times.
Of special note is the first local appearance in the saddle of former Trinidad and Tobago champion jockey Prayven Badrie, who has one ride on the card, Thirtyonekisses in the second for trainer Richard Azan.
TRAINERS
Among the trainers, Ryan Darby is the leader of that grouping with horses to saddle in six of the 10 races on offer. Current leader Gary Subratie has horses in four races. Champion Anthony Nunes is entered in three races and it is the same for last year’s runner-up Jason DaCosta.
