KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Jason DaCosta gave an instant response to his main challenger in the trainers’ race Anthony Nunes winning the third race (Go Deh Girl), with victory in fourth by Morse Code.
Racing for the 15th occasion, Morse Code, a three-year-old chestnut gelding, made his belated entry into the winners’ enclosure travelling 4 ½ furlongs in a maiden special weight contest confined to his age group.
Anthony Thomas did not have much to do on Morse Code, going quickly to front and although persistently followed by Queen Adele (Javaniel Patterson), Morse Code came away without any fuss to win by two lengths.
Traditional Boy (Aaron Chatrie) ran on for second with Queen Adele occupying the third slot.
