KINGSTON, Jamaica – The first of nine races on the Sunday card of December 19, 2021, went to the 7-5 favourite Flying Bullet with Ruja Lahoe in the saddle for trainer Patrick Fong.
Flying Bullet gained his fifth career win from 60 starts in a three-year-old and upwards Claiming contest ($250,000 - $200,000) going five furlongs round.
It was Seadon (Aaron Chatrie), who set the splits followed by Poker Star (Shane Richardson), with Flying Bullet travelling well in fifth – always hugging the rails.
Poker Star took over by the time the horses reached the stretch, but by then Lahoe got Flying Bullet going and in a jiffy got the advantage and then pulled away to win by four lengths.
Second was Poker Star with third going to Dallas (Marshall Porter).
