KINGSTON, Jamaica - Unbeaten American-bred bay gelding Jordon Reign’s, from the barn of Ian Parsard, gets another opportunity to showcase his talent when he takes on rivals going 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m) in the $1.13 million War Zone Trophy feature on the 10-race card at Caymanas Park tomorrow, Saturday, December 11.
Bred by Mosler out of the Scrimshaw mare Dearie Be Good, Jordon Reign’s is two from two on local soil with both wins combining to be nine lengths over rivals.
The far-striding runner made his debut on October 23 and won easily by 5 ¾ lengths down the straight (1000m) in a quick 58.3 seconds.
However, his second out on November 13 was more impressive. Jordon Reign’s venturing over 5 ½ furlongs, after stumbling at the start won the event by 3 ¼ lengths ahead of the Secret Identity in a smooth 1:05.2 for the distance.
Jordon Reign’s has been moving nicely coming into this race, clocking 1:00.2 for 5 furlongs on December 5.
Secret Identity looks the likely one that could chase home the favourite as after going down to Jordon’s Reign’s on November 13, Secret Identity failed as the favourite over the straight on November 27, finishing third behind Super Duper and Hoist The Mast. Secret Identity is fit and should carry the fight to the favourite, if there is any.
The rest of the field is made up of Moonova, Cataba, Magical Mood, Chandra’s Law, and Mum.
