KINGSTON, Jamaica – Sparkle Diamond, an imported five-year-old chestnut horse last won on December 13, 2020.
Today, nearly one year later in the Caymanas Saturday tenth, Sparkle Diamond trained by champion Anthony Nunes and ridden by Shane Ellis, returned to the winners’ enclosure in emphatic style at the Overnight Allowance level going seven furlongs.
From the get go, Ellis placed Sparkle Diamond in the lead and thereafter was never in danger of losing.
In the last two furlongs Sparkle Diamond moved further away from rivals scoring by five and 1 /2 lengths.
I Am Fred (Phillip Parchment) finished second with Big Big Daddy (Paul Francis) third.
