KINGSTON, Jamaica – Having being disqualified from first place in her last outing (November 7), Mum made a quick return to win the Caymanas Monday third in authoritative fashion.
Mum, a three-year-old chestnut filly by Sensational Slam – Saint Cecelia was successful in a Restricted Allowance (non-winners of two – fillies only) call coming down the five straight course.
It wasn’t much of contest, as after Heart of the Sea (Abigail Able) set off in front, Aaron Chatrie bided his time on Mum until the last two furlongs when the Spencer Chung trainee gathered momentum to assume the lead and the race over and done with. Mum won by 5 1/2 lengths.
Bridal Brush (Javaniel Patterson) ran on for second with Ring Charmer (Tevin Foster) occupying the third slot.
