KINGSTON, Jamaica – Racing in the Overnight Allowance grade for the first time, Nuclear Noon (Robert Halledeen) trained by Anthony Nunes trainee showed not only his class but also true grit and determination to win this five furlong round call.

Halledeen must be given major credit for his handling of Nuclear Noon who raced in about seventh place behind the speeders led by Deep Blue Sea (Daniel Satchell) with Alexa’s Lodge (Dick Cardenas) and Unknown Soldier (Aaron Chatrie) following closely.

In the stretch drive it was still Deep Blue Sea as Halledeen, who was positioned way behind had some traffic problems and had to quickly manoeuvre Nuclear Noon on the wide outside. That was when the explosion occurred as Halledeen riding as if his life depended on it, got Nuclear Noon to respond with a furious late kick which brought victory by 1 ¼ lengths in a final time of 1:00.1.

This was Nuclear Noon’s second win in succession and he will race next at the Open Allowance level.

Nuclear Noon is bred by Nuclear Wayne – Noon It Is.
