The ‘Ship’ anchors at 7-1 in ninth | double for Anthony Thomas

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Capturemyship, ridden by Anthony Thomas and trained by Gregory Forsyth sailed to his 11th career victory from 37 starts in the Caymanas Monday eighth.

The Caymanas Monday eighth was for horses at the Overnight Allowance level over five furlongs straight.

As the gates opened Thomas took the speedy Capturemyship from the number two draw in the field of 10 to the middle of track and then more to the outside rails while setting fast splits of 22.2 x 44.3.

Sparkle Diamond (Shane Ellis) kept on the inside and challenged the leader Capturemyship with a furlong to go as did Ras Emanuel (Omar Walker), who came with a strong effort.

Thomas pumping hard was able to get Capturemyship to port by half-a-length ahead of Sparkle Diamond with Ras Emanuel third.

This was the second winner on the day for Thomas.
