KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was just announced that jockey Samantha Fletcher has been taken to hospital mainly as a precautionary measure after falling from her mount Uncle Vernon in the Caymanas Saturday ninth.
Three horses fell in the race, Uncle Vernon, Primal Fear (Oshane Nugent) and Nevada (Richard Henry).
Both Henry and Nugent were examined and released.
Primal Fear got injured in the race which led to the other two horses and riders hitting the deck.
