Trained by Phillip Lee with Phillip Parchment in the irons, Papa Albert (4-1) quickly swooped by early leader Chief of Stake (Ramon Nepare) and although challenged thereafter by JamalJames pulled away to score by 9 ¼ lengths. Acapella (Jordan Barrett) ran on to nip Jamal James by a short head for third.
Parchment was aboard his 11th winner in 2021.
