KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was win number 9 from 62 career starts for Diosa De Oro in the Caymanas Saturday fifth.
Trained by Anthony Dixon with Dick Cardenas in the saddle Diosa De Oro earned her latest victory in a three-year-old and upwards Claimer ($550.000 - $500,000) going seven furlongs.
Cardenas sat close to the leader Winx Choice (Ruja Lahoe) for most of the way. Winx Choice dashed further ahead with three and a half furlongs left in the contest and was in front entering the lane for the stretch drive.
Diosa De Oro got going and quickly disposed of all rivals pulling away to win by 5 ½ lengths.
Stallwalkin’girl (Samantha Fletcher) finished second with Winx Choice in the third slot.
