KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Samantha Fletcher made it two wins in succession with Just Trick Me in the Caymanas Monday sixth – a three-year-old and upwards Claiming ($250,000 - $200,000) contest travelling five furlongs straight.
It was a race that defied the normal pattern of a five straight. First, as is customary Fletcher moved Just Trick Me from the two draw in the field of nine runners to the outside rails. Secondly, Oshane Nugent on Union Four and Jawara Steadman on 3-5 favourite Radical tacked from the outside and middle of the track respectively to be close to the inside rails.
In a driving finish to line, it was the horse on the outside, Just Trick Me trained by Donovan Russell who won by a neck over Union Four. A neck behind Union Four was Radical.
