KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Oshane Nugent who is taking a big race day break from his suspension made use of the opportunity afforded to him by riding his second winner on the day, Ridewiththemob, in the Caymanas Saturday fifth.
Ridewiththemob trained by Fitzgerald Richards won at a mile in a six-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming race.
It was the 3-5 favourite Kingswood (Anthony Thomas) who set off in front followed by Herecomestheboss (Youville Pinnock) and Unbreakable (Samantha Fletcher).
Kingswood held his position round the first bend but Nugent pushed Ridewiththemob while circling the final turn to nab a now floundering Kingswood in the stretch drive.
Then Ridewiththemob started to falter in the latter stage of the race as Isotope (Dane Nelson), second, and Royal Aviator (Robert Halledeen), third, came with a burst but their efforts were not enough.
This was the third race in a row that an odds favourite was being beaten.
