KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Natalie Berger rode her third winner for the year when she guided Queen Deftiny to victory in the Caymanas Monday second which was a four-year-old and upwards maiden condition contest at six furlongs (1,200 metres).

Queen Deftiny, trained by Donovan Plummer was not the best away but Berger moved with restraint on the outside to be with the leaders after three furlongs were completed.

Queen Deftiny then went wide on the final turn, entering the stretch way over on the outside rails but Berger kept the four-year-old chestnut filly up to the task despite covering more ground to win by two lengths.

Second was Cup Cake (Tevin Foster) and third Wreckless Diamond (Phillip Parchment).
