KINGSTON, Jamaica – K D Rocket took off from the number two draw coming down the five straight course with Dane Dawkins in the saddle to blast away rivals in the Caymanas Saturday sixth.
K D Rocket registered his third career victory from 18 starts in a four-year-old and upwards non-winners of three call.
Dawkins kept K D Rocket trained by Gary Subratie behind the front runners Primal Fear (Oshane Nugent) and Commissioner (Chris Mamdeen).
When the horses reached the main track, Dawkins let loose on K D Rocket who responded well by pulling away for the win by 1 ¼ lengths over Primal Fear. Chitu Prince (Dane Nelson) finished third.
The winning time done by K D Rocket was a fast 57.4 seconds.
