KINGSTON, Jamaica – After six attempts, King Antholew secured his first victory with a run on effort on the inside in the Caymanas Saturday fourth.

The Caymanas Saturday fourth was a three-year-old Maiden Condition race run at 5 ½ furlongs.

It was Cataba (Dane Nelson) who set off in front when the gates opened followed by Diamond In The Sky and a slew of other rivals.

The speedy Cataba kept the advantage when the horses entered the straight but was visibly shortening as Turnonthelight (Dick Cardenas) started moving on the outside while King Antholew was gathering momentum on the inside rails.

King Antholew found much more and streaked away to win by 1 ¼ lengths to give jockey Javaniel Patterson and trainer Rowan Mathie another winner.

Turnonthelight was second and Diamond In The Sky third.
