KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Richard Azan conditioned Money Magnet should have things her own way when she competes against four rivals in this year’s running of the 6 ½ furlongs, Eileen Cliggott Memorial Trophy tomorrow (Feb 16) at Caymanas Park.
The main danger to Money Magnet who is coming off a win on January 19 over the five-straight course, is almost certain to be her stablemate Peking Cruz.
Peking Cruz, and another entrant in the Eileen Cliggott, Exhilarate, both raced on the mid-week card on Wednesday last and they may just be feeling the effects of that effort.
In that mid-week race Peking Cruz was badly interfered with, finishing third and was subsequently promoted to second.
Money Magnet is cherry ripe at the moment as evidenced by her victory over Chace The Great in a five-straight event on January 19.
The other two in the race are old timers, Houdini’s Magic and Perfect Neighbour who have never been known for their printing prowess.
Now it is all about the power of the ‘Magnet’.
