KINGSTON, Jamaica – After being highly fancied on her debut (January 26, 2019), Princess Ava returned with the wind in her sail to capture the day’s fourth on the mid-week card – a three-year-old maiden condition event run over a mile.
This time it was a different Princess Ava (Mine Over Matter – Exotic Selection) on show, as after tracking the leader for a while, she went about her business under the guidance of jockey Robert Halledeen.
Trained by Anthony Nunes, Princess Ava clocked 1:141.0 for the distance winning in the end by 2 ½ lengths from Crimson who made a spirited effort in the straight with King Tavari occupying the third slot.
