KINGSTON, Jamaica – A determined and persistent Awesome Treasure came good at odds of 14-1 in the Caymanas Monday (May 17) seventh offering.
This latest win by the imported four-year-old bay filly was achieved in a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of four) contest.
Racing prominently throughout with Dane Dawkins aboard for trainer Gary Subratie, Awesome Treasure was locked in combat with Taskforce (Paul France) in the last furlong and a half of the race.
Dawkins got his mount to find extra in the latter stage to win by three-parts of a length. Taskforce was second and Weekend Jazz third.
