JOCKEYS

Champion apprentice of last year Oshane Nugent makes his return to the saddle after his recuperation from injuries sustained from a fall. Nugent has secured four rides on the 10-race programme.

On the 10-race card jockey Dick Cardenas has nine rides. The only race Cardenas will not mount up in is the fourth.

Veteran jockey Richard Lunan makes one of his rare appearances on the racetrack. Lunan rides number 7 in the seventh race Fearless Man for Phillip Elliott.

Interesting to note that the mare Sarah Barracuda has two runners on the day. Curlin’s Barracuda (Perfect Curlin – Sarah Barracuda) races in the ninth and Crimson (Nuclear Wayne – Sarah Barracuda) in the tenth. Sarah Barracuda is also the dame of Wow Wow.

First timers

Four horses will make their debuts on the Saturday programme.

In the third race there is She’s A Mistake, a four-year-bay filly by West Kingston – Secret Code trained by Adin “Dreaddie” Williams.

The other three debutantes are in the seventh, a race for three-year-olds only. They are:

  • She’s My Destiny (chestnut filly by Bern Identity – Woman Is Boss) trained by Jason DaCosta.
  • Enrapture is a bay filly bred in utero by Uncaptured – Forobviousreasons trained by Gary Subratie and
  • Queen Adele a chestnut filly by Bern Identity – Proud Song trained by Anthony Dixon.

  1. Quick Gallop is very informative for punters but I have not been able to access the past information on the horses for the current races. Its a challenge finding your quick gallops and predictions which are very helpful in my selection process.
