KINGSTON, Jamaica – King Arthur recorded his second win from as many starts this season in the Caymanas Saturday eighth which was the feature World Vet Day Trophy for horses in the Overnight Allowance category travelling one mile.
With the hands of Anthony Thomas carrying the reins, King Arthur was settled in second place behind expected leader Jamai Raja.
When asked by Thomas to get going with four furlongs left to run, King Arthur trained by Jason DaCosta asserted himself by taking over upfront and from then victory was never in doubt.
Marquesas (Reyan Lewis) was second and El Profesor (Chris Mamdeen) third.
King Arthur’s win gave Thomas a triple thus far on the card while it was the second for DaCosta.
