KINGSTON, Jamaica – Heavenly Glitter shone her light brightly in the Caymanas Thursday eighth.

Jockey Dane Dawkins watched in second place on Heavenly Glitter as Irish Whisky took the horses into the clubhouse turn in this nine furlongs and 25 yards offering for three-year-old maidens.

On the backstretch, Dawkins waited a bit before gliding by Irish Whisky. Sir John (Anthony Thomas) raced in mid-pack but with 3 ½ furlongs left Sir John and Thomas made their move to get much closer to Heavenly Glitter.

An enthralling contest unfolded in the last two furlongs as Sir John took over but a dogged and now fully charged Heavenly Glitter rallied to nip Sir John by a nose. Hilly’s Vision (Chris Mamdeen) was third.

Heavenly Glitter is trained by leading trainer Gary Subratie.
