KINGSTON, Jamaica – A release from parent company Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) earlier today announced the appointment of businessman Solomon Sharpe as the new non-executive chairman of the promoting company of horse racing in Jamaica, Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL). SVREL is a subsidiary of SVL.
Sharpe, who has a long association with horse racing in Jamaica takes over from Michael Bernard whose contract ended today (December 31). Bernard did not seek to reinstate his contract.
