KINGSTON, Jamaica – Three Jamaica bred horses were winners on the 10-race programme at the Santa Rosa race track in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago on Boxing Day, 2018.
Royal Intension by Western Classic – Wap, a two-year-old bay colt ridden by Wilbert Galviz and trained by H Chadee won the St James Stakes for juveniles over 1350 metres by half a length in a time of 1:23.78. Royal Intension was bred in Jamaica by Everglades Farm Limited.
She’s So Spectacula, then took the NLCB St James Stakes over 1350 metres in a time of 1:23.37. Trained by John O’Brien, owned by Chevan Maharaj and ridden by Rico Hernandez, She’s So Spectacula, a 2-y-o chestnut filly by Soul Warrior – Princess Geeta was bred in Jamaica by S & D Stables.
The 10th and final race on the Santa Rosa card went to the three-year-old chestnut colt, Master of War who won a 1750 metres event in a time of 1:51.79 for owner Shivam Maharaj, trainer H Gobin and jockey Y Serrano. Master of War by Bridled Quest – Senorita Sinki was bred in Jamaica by Lakeland Farms Limited.
