KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Gary Subratie increased his lead in the championship among conditioners when his three-year-old roan filly Silver Hawk duly obliged as the 6-5 favourite in the Caymanas Ash Wednesday fifth.

Silver Hawk by Midnight Hawk – Miss Emily broke well and was just behind the early pacesetter Rocket Lily with Omar Walker in the saddle.

Coming across the dummy rails onto the main track, Silver Hawk started to take off and in doing so took the advantage but had to be ridden out by his jockey Dick Cardenas as Daddy Jones (Larris Allen) running green and all over the place came with a challenge.

Yet Silver Hawk held on for the win – 1 ¼ lengths ahead of Daddy Jones with Father Riel (Reyan Lewis) third.
