KINGSTON, Jamaica – Big Big Daddy after taking what was seemingly a lifetime to actually pass the winning post in front showed in no uncertain manner his rapid development of late when he won in style the Caymanas Sunday ninth against some seasoned horses.
From the gates opened the two known speedsters Basilicus (Dick Cardenas) and Just An Illusion (Javaniel Patterson) started their own battle which the former getting the upper hand. Behind these two were Generational (Omar Walker) and 4-5 favourite Silent Seeker (Anthony Thomas) waiting on their time to pounce. At this stage Big Big Daddy trained by Gary Subratie was way off in sixth place.
Generational and Silent Seeker moved together as a team nearing the straight as Basilicus still held sway. Big Big Daddy entered the last two furlong several lengths behind but Dawkins made the vital switch of going from mid-track to scrape paint on the inside rails.
From then out it was over and done with as Big Big Daddy well handled by Dawkins opened up to win by 4 ¾ lengths. Second was Silent Seeker with Generational third.
