KINGSTON, Jamaica – Reigning Horse of the Year, four-year-old bay filly She’s A Maneater makes her return to competitive racing on Saturday, December 15, 2018, after bolting in the December 1, 2018, Diamond Mile plus jumping over the rails onto the infield.
She’s A Maneater handicapped with 126 lb allows approximately 16 lbs to each of her eight rivals in a Graded Stakes event to be run over five and a half furlongs. Omar Walker is once again in the saddle.
The main rival for the flying filly is Chace The Great, the winner of the Sprint Championship on November 10 with Dane Nelson doing the riding duties.
Nelson returns and with Chace The Great so light it is difficult to see him losing this one especially given the fact that he is much more effective over the distance on offer when compared with She’s A Maneater.
By no means is the race confined to these two as there are there are the consistent filly Money Magnet, the fast Mr Universe who is sure to lead at a merry clip, Peking Cruz – the fast developing three-year-old and old stager Campesino.
It is going to be quite a sprint fest with the choice being Chace The Great.
