KINGSTON, Jamaica – After his main rival Dane Nelson produced another triple, leader in the jockeys’ race Anthony Thomas pulled one back to lead by eight after piloting Mr Universe to an easy winning effort.
Mr Universe, the one time top class sprinter won in the $750,000 - $700,000 claiming rank over five furlongs round.
After mixing it up with Superbolt (Raddesh Roman), Thomas and Mr Universe pulled away in the straight winning by four lengths.
Super Bolt was second and Lala Diva (Aaron Chatrie) third.
