KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Dane Nelson pegged one win back on leader in the jockeys’ race Anthony Thomas when he comfortably won the opening race on the Friday (October 23) programme currently underway at Caymanas Park.
Trained by Spencer Chung, Roses for Elle won a maiden three-year-old call run over six furlongs.
Roses for Elle was kept of the pace by Ellis which was set by Triple Seven ridden by Thomas.
In the straight, Roses for Elle gathered momentum and pulled away from rivals.
Second was Colour Me Tan and third was Lava Boy.
Nelson now leads Thomas by 12 wins.
