KINGSTON, Jamaica – A list of 124 horses, split in 11 races, were nominated earlier today (December 5) for Saturday’s December 8 race card at Caymanas Park.
These entries follow the 175 horses who competed in 14 races on the Diamond Mile Race Day last week Saturday.
There are two major cup races down for competition.
There is the Andrew H B Aguilar Memorial Cup over a mile for maiden two-year-olds. This is the longest race the 2-year-old crop of this season are going to run in.
The Andrew H B Aguilar Memorial Cup has attracted 12 starters including Duke from the barn of trainer Richard Azan who has shown a distinct tendency to prefer racing over the longer distances.
The second trophy event is the Dye Job Sprint, another two-year-old encounter this time over six furlongs.
Eight horses were nominated for this race including two crack foreigners, Stranger Danger and American Invader coming from the stables of trainer Wayne DaCosta.
Scratch time is set for tomorrow in the Racing Office at Caymanas Park.
